Why You Should Carry a Gun

The defining feature of a prepper is the fact that preppers are attempting to be ready for anything. This would include being ready for any danger or threat that might occur. As times get tougher you have to expect the rate of crime and violence to increase. This is why it's important for preppers to be prepared to defend themselves if the time ever came and someone threatened you or someone you love, and firearms are the best way to achieve this.

Firearms are probably the best form of defense. Shotguns for home defense, handguns for personal defense, and rifles for battles that hopefully you are never in the middle of. I never leave home without my handgun just because you never know what might happen. It gives me peace of mind knowing that if someone where to try to mug me or rob me I would be able to defend myself.

It's important to have some form of defense even if it's a non-lethal form (such as a tazer, or pepper spray) and know how to effectively use it. A handgun does no good if you don't know how to use it properly and handle it safely. If you plan on using a handgun as a form of defense make sure you are familiar with your firearm, how it works, and how to be safe with it. Go to your local shooting range and get some regular practice in. Make sure your sights are accurate and the gun is always in good working order. Remember, it's okay to bring your firearm not have to use it, but you don't want to get caught wishing you had one.
